The Secret Lives of Color

Color: Mountbatten Pink
Title: Battle At Dusk
Materials: Acrylic Paint

After reading the chapter on Mountbatten Pink in the book The Secret Lives of Color, I learned that long ago, during wars and battles, they would take cover during dusk and dawn, and the color of the sky that reflected onto the water was this color. So they decided to paint their ships this color, which came to be known as Mountbatten Pink. At the time, it served as their camouflage; it is no longer used for that purpose. So I decided to use Mountbatten Pink on my whole canvases and create boats out of the colors used to create the distinct shade of pink. Showing the history and the creation of the color

Color: Electric Blue
Title: Light it Up
Materials: Lamp/Light Bulb, Acrylic Paint

After reading about the color Electric Blue in our book, The Secret Lives of Colors, I learned that this color represents standing out, energy, and excitement. So I decided to paint a light bulb the color Electric blue so that I could plug the light in and it would radiate the vibrant color to show what the color means: standing out, energy, and excitement.
