Reflection Statement:

These three sculptures visually represent repetition, focal point, and negative space. While exploring the variety of materials available to us, I discovered how flexible and adaptable textiles can be. This allowed me to manipulate them to fit my vision rather than working against their limitations. I intentionally made the sculptures slightly wonky and unconventional, as those qualities help them stand out and give each piece its own distinct character. Through creating these works, I was able to experiment with textiles I hadn’t used before and push their limits, while also learning how forgiving and versatile they can be.
